Maintenance Reporting System (MRS)
The Maintenance Reporting System (MRS) enables users to manage maintenance alarms from the Ticket Vending Machines (TVM). The system will include an interface between MRS and VIP/7 System. Alarms will trigger notification to the MRS which will generate an incident report, based on the predetermined alarm rank, and then electronically distribute work orders and notifications though a dynamic matrix with determined protocols and procedures. The MRS System will monitor the duration of each notification to conclusion, recording all action items and maintenance procedures taken by the technician and verify termination of the alarm with the TVM via the interface with VIP/7. The MRS will maintain a database of all alarms and will be configured to provide comprehensive reports on current and historical alarms, actions, responses and results.
For example a mid-level alarm rating notification is received, recorded in the MRS System and a work order is automatically created ranked and emailed to the appropriate technician who acknowledges receipt electronically and responds to the alarm. A response of the technician’s work order is recorded via the handheld device and integrated to the assigned MRS case. If the response supports repair and conclusion of the alarm the MRS system verifies the status condition electronically with the TVM recording all current conditions dates and times. This provides the Transit Agency with complete control over its TVM maintenance program with monitoring, automated work orders, detailed tracking and reporting.
